Jan 2012: ADCP Workshop - June 13-14, Utrecht, NL.
Aqua Vision are proud to invite you to their ADCP Workshop in 2012.
Past workshops have proven to be a huge success and this years' will
be no different. With a host of international speakers, demonstrations of
the latest ADCP technology and an array of workshops, don't miss it!
Dec 2011: Aqua Vision have acquired a C3D system from Teledyne
Benthos. The C3D system represents the latest in sonar imaging,
creating a 3D image of the seafloor using a combination of high
resolution imagery and wide swath bathymetry. The system is
particularly suitable for shallow water applications, including habitat
mapping, model validation, fisheries, object detection and research.
2011: Aqua Vision and Eurosense Planning & Engineering delivered
the first draft of the tidal current atlas for the Port of Zeebrugge by order
of the Flemish Government. 21 thirteen hour measurements have been
performed to map the currents in the entering channel, the harbour
basin and two docks. The atlas has been produced using Aqua Visions
in house developed data presentation software software ViSea DPS.
2011: Aqua Vision started the third measurement campaign in
Germany by order of the German Federal Institute of Coastal
Engineering (BAW-AK). This time all three major German estuaries
(Elbe, Weser and Ems) will be measured for discharge, sediment
concentrations and flux.
2011: Aqua Vision and Rijkswaterstaat Department North-Holland
performed directional wave measurements using an Waves-Array
ADCP with NEMO module. The measurements were meant to test the
NEMO capabilities which proved to be very good. Delivered data
matched well with other means of wave measurements in the vicinity.
2010: By order of Nord Stream, Aqua Vision performed environmental
monitoring work during dredging activities at the gas pipe line location
in German waters southeast of the island of Rügen. Our ViSea Plume
Detection Toolbox was used to measure the spread of sediment with
an ADCP at the site of a Back-Hoe dredger and a Trailing Suction
Hopper Dredger. We made use of the vessel MV Supplier of Northern
Offshore Services.
2010: The University of Oklahoma have purchased our in-house
developed ViSea Plume Detection Toolbox as the first PDT customer
in the USA. They will perform measurements as part of their research
effort on river morphology, stream restoration etc.
